Voltage Dimmable Step Up DC to DC LED Drivers

In 2021 MEAN WELL expanded their range of step-up DC to DC LED drivers by introducing two new series:

These LED drivers are compact size and potted, which offers some degree of protection against moisture and dust ingress.

Constant current outputs within the LDH series range from 250mA to 1750mA with a power output of up to 60 Watts per module.

The tables below indicate the input and output voltage ranges.

MEAN WELL LDH-25-W LED Driver — Wire Terminations

The most interesting feature of these DC to DC LED drivers is that they are voltage dimmable. This makes them compatible with a wide range of dimming controllers and switches, including the Power Source D1-10 1-10V dimmer.

The LDH-25 gives you a lower cost option for applications where you don’t need so much power.

The LDH-65 is a bit larger, packing more power into the same sized package.

Both series are available in a PCB mount version, or with termination wires for inline installation.

These DC to DC LED drivers are perfect for powering constant current LEDs from a battery, or operating small constant current LED luminaires from a common DC voltage source.

Such applications include cars, trucks, trailers, caravans, boats, camping lights, deck lights, and garden lights.

They are also useful for applications where you need a constant current LED driver at the end of a long run of DC cable, and for constant current street lighting.
